At Yarn Expo Autumn, which will be held from August 29 to 31, 2022 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, visitors will be able to source quality fibers and yarns that meet consumers’ ecological expectations. A quality and sustainable mix of national and international exhibitors has been confirmed for the Yarn Expo Autumn.

Strategies based on market trends for the fibers and yarns sector include developing biodegradable and sustainable materials and investing in sustainable manufacturing technologies. Therefore, the show will showcase a wide range of environmentally friendly technologies and raw materials to various end-user industries, domestic and international exhibitors, the organizers said in a press release citing a recent report.

International exhibitors include Rieter Machine Works Ltd (Switzerland) and The Movement China Ltd (Netherlands). Rieter is the world’s leading supplier of short fiber spinning systems. The company develops and manufactures machines, systems and components used to convert natural and man-made fibers into yarns. Their machines have long life cycles and use raw materials efficiently, reducing waste and increasing sustainability.

With offices in Amsterdam and Shanghai, The Movement provides innovative sustainable technology solutions to the textile industry. In addition to Aware, its unique durability verification technology system, The Movement introduces its Polylana fiber, which is a low-impact alternative to traditional fibers. It is 100% traceable and 100% recyclable.

Domestic exhibitors include Orient International (Holding) Co Ltd, Jiangsu Zhongyuan Industrial Group Co Ltd, Jiangsu Yueda Spinning Co Ltd and Fujian Cyclone Technology Co Ltd. The textile industry value chain is well represented in Orient’s offerings, with this company showcasing everything from fibers and yarns, to fabrics and ready-to-wear. With an emphasis on recyclability and biodegradability, their fiber products include new functional and differentiated polyester staple fibers, ultra-fine antibacterial acrylic fibers and other specialty acrylic fibers, antibacterial and anti-mite fibers, as well as with intelligent temperature control.

Made from 100% post-consumer PET bottles, Jiangsu Zhongyuan Industrial Group Co Ltd will showcase its Recoyarns series, a quality variety of recycled PET chips and polyester fibers and yarns. Using less water and energy than traditional fiber production, Jiangsu Zhongyuan’s recycling process also emits less CO2.

Five kinds of quality products will be presented by Jiangsu Yueda Spinning Co Ltd. Recycled Eco Yarns, Green Cotton Yarns, Vortex Cotton Yarns, Characteristic Spinning Yarns and Functional Yarns will be showcased. Some new additions to their functional yarn subcategory include PLA, Naia, and degradable polyester yarn.

Fujian Cyclone Technology Co Ltd. produces durable yarns that have a multitude of uses, in a wide variety of applicable fields, such as sports, fashion, home, technology, automotive, industrial, military and outdoor. Products include recycled polyester filament yarn, recycled polyester color yarn, recycled composite yarn and recycled functional yarn.

In addition to the physical show, the 2022 edition will see the return of E-Source, the show’s virtual business matchmaking platform. Industry leaders who cannot travel to Shanghai can take advantage of some of the connectivity that physical visitors enjoy. Buyers can sort their target suppliers by specific sourcing criteria and receive AI-powered match recommendations. In addition to connecting virtual attendees, E-Source enables real-time online interactions, allowing exhibitors and buyers to connect during and after the three-day event.

Yarn Expo 2021 successfully hosted 429 exhibitors from seven countries and regions, as well as more than 13,000 in-person purchasing decision makers. After last year’s success, the 2022 show will again be held together with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabric – Autumn Edition, CHIC and PH Value. By covering the entire textile supply chain, these shows create the synergy needed to drive the industry forward.
