Greater Noida: Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Expo Mart will host two fairs from June 20 to 22. The 16th Indian Fashion Jewelery and Accessories Fair (IFJAS) and the 67th India International Garment Fair (IIGF) will be held at the market on those days.
While more than 150 exhibitors from across the country are expected to attend IFJAS, the IIGF will feature more than 400 domestic apparel exporters to approximately 1,500 overseas buyers.
The IIGF has been endorsed by the state government as part of its one district, one product program, as well as the Center. Piyush Goyalthe union Minister of Textiles, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and Commerce and Industry, will inaugurate the event on Monday.
Officials said the jewelry fair, organized by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), will be held on the first and second floors of the market. It will feature fashion jewelry and accessories products, belts and wallets, handbags and purses, fashion accessories, head and hair accessories, stoles, scarves and shawls, among others. Some of the expected highlights at the fair are themed exhibitions of fashion jewelry from UP, West Bengal, Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland.
“Exports of jewelry and fashion accessories were worth Rs 1,908.5 crore last year, a growth of 24.2% from the previous year,” said Rakesh Kumar, Managing Director of the ‘EPCH.
Kumar added that the garment fair will be held simultaneously. “This is an exclusive apparel show by AEPC and the display complements the product profile at IFJAS, giving visiting buyers a cross-sourcing opportunity. Since fashion apparel and accessories – and many times fashion jewelry as well – are displayed alongside, allowing consumers to complete “the look”, competition will benefit buyers and exhibitors at both shows. as they can explore new market linkages for growth and expansion,” Kumar said.
According to him, buyers are expected to come from the US, UK, Germany, Japan, Canada, France, Russia, Dubai, Australia, New Zealand, Australia, etc. .
The three-day apparel show, organized by the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), will be held on the ground floor and is likely to be one of the biggest in Asia, said Lalit Thukral, chairman of the IIGF.
According to Thukral, many buyers are expected to come to the show for the first time.
“India has signed an FTA with Australia and the UAE. As a result, more and more clothing buyers are coming from these countries to the IIGF. Some of the candidate stores who have confirmed their visit are, among others, Lulu Group International, UAE, Apparel Group, UAE, Rage Distribution, South Africa, Lizzard Sruf, South Africa, Hotel Shop, Mexico,” he added.
