THE SOURCE is the new one-stop European solution for holistic fashion sourcing. 65 selected international manufacturing companies present their offerings ranging from cut-make-trim (CMT) to high-end production. A group of the most important sourcing countries, such as Portugal, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, Bosnia and Vietnam, create a business-relevant mix for risk diversification, regardless of gender and price level. The KEY HOUSE is made up of over 1,000 square meters, the focus will be on forward-thinking showcases alongside sustainable innovations – be it sustainability, digitization, traceability, technology or finishing. The BLUE ZONE in halls 6 and 7 will be the unmissable event for the blue community on August 30 and 31. As a key global event for the denim industry, around 100 international denim mills, weavers, manufacturers and finishing companies will showcase their latest innovations and trends in Zenith Hall and the Coal Bunker.
At the upcoming BLUEZONE, two new projects that couldn’t be more different will show how the stages of the denim production process are optimally interconnected in a way that conserves resources: denim finishing at a higher level. Just at the entrance to the BLUEZONE, a park of high-tech automated machines awaits visitors. Wiser Tech showcases how cloud and AI-based solutions can revolutionize denim finishing. The result: fully traceable and sustainably optimized finishing processes.
Made in Italy: From the creation to the production of fabrics, from the detergent of the denim to the ingredients – the new project “The Italian Luster”, presented for the first time at BLUEZONE in Munich, portrays a fully integrated value chain from production Italian denim. Participating companies are ACM Trims, Berto Industria Tessile, Elleti Group, Fashion Art and Olimpias. The Italian Luster alliance stands for the highest quality, flexible production capacities and sustainable innovations.
Impulses for positive change – as part of the first cooperation between BLUEZONE and Transformers, conferences on the central theme of sustainability will take place over two consecutive days. On August 30, the focus will be on energy and decarbonization. The following day will focus on reviewing and sharing Transformer reports on unethical behavior and cotton.
