Tamil Nadu police discovered a minor murder case days after she killed her father in Tamil Nadu’s Villupuram district.
Police invoked Article 100 of the Indian Penal Code – – the right of private defense – after it became clear that the girl had killed her father in self-defense during an attempted sexual harassment.
A few days ago, the young girl told her neighbors that her father was found stabbed on her way home after washing her clothes at a nearby tap.
The police then recorded a case of suspicious death. However, during the investigation it emerged that it was the girl who killed her 40-year-old father.
Villupuram Police Chief N Shreenatha told NDTV: “The girl confessed that she stabbed her father to protect herself from the attempted sexual assault of her alcoholic father. the case after consulting legal experts “.
Investigators say the minor’s mother died a few years ago. While her older sister worked in a textile store in Chennai, 160 kilometers away, the younger one lived with her father.
Police said the girl was counseled by experts and transferred to a children’s home where she is doing well now.
