Outdoor Performance Fabrics Category Gets Regal Entry

MIDDLETON, Mass. – Regal Fabrics enters the outdoor category with its new collection of performance fabrics, drawing inspiration from tropical landscapes and islands living in its range of designs.

Regal showcased the new outdoor performance fabrics at the recent Interwoven Textile Show in High Point, launching eight new designs and 63 SKUs. The fabrics are made with 100% solution dyed polyester yarn and have 1000 hours of UV resistant properties.

Solution dyeing is environmentally friendly, waterless and uses less energy in production than conventional yarns, Regal officials say. Outdoor performance fabrics are finished with the same C6 chemistry as all Performance by Regal fabrics and have the same stain resistance and easy cleaning properties.

“The outdoor category is strong and customers have been asking us for products like this for several years,” said Andy Kahan, Market Manager. “We felt this is a growing category with limited supply, and so the economy makes sense at this time. Our goal is to continue to develop great outdoor looks for great value in this collection in the future.

Regal Fabrics stocks all of its fabrics in Middleton, Mass., and can immediately fulfill initial orders for new fabrics.
