Intertextile Apparel opens with 3,300 exhibitors

Covering a total of seven exhibition halls and nearly 200,000 square meters, the clothing textile industry will meet this weekend at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. Taking place from October 9 to 11, the physical fair will once again be complemented by a series of online sourcing and business networking platforms, allowing for wider international participation.

New and old international exhibitors from 19 countries and regions can be found in halls 1.1, 2.1, 2.2 and 7.2. The popular SalonEurope area returns this edition and will host the Milano Unica pavilion for the first time since the pandemic epidemic, as well as dedicated areas for Germany and Turkey, and exhibitors from Denmark, France, Ireland. , Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the UK.

Four pavilions from Asian countries and regions of Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and Taiwan will also showcase their latest products. In addition, seven group pavilions can be found in the overseas halls, including:

-DuPont Sorona Pavilion, USA: 11 members will present their latest innovative products including SORONA FAUX FUR, StretchCosy, SORONA functional fibers and SORONA AD yarn.

-Hyosung Group, Korea: Comprised of 13 members, they will showcase functional fabrics and knitted fabrics for outerwear, sportswear, leisure, lingerie, swimwear and casual wear.

-The LYCRA Corporate Pavilion, China: welcoming a record number of co-exhibitors during this edition, the show will be the Asia-Pacific launch pad for LYCRA ADAPTIV, a fiber designed to adapt like a second skin.

Lenzing Satellite, Austria: The Lenzing Group and 39 members will showcase 100% biodegradable, zero carbon TENCEL fibers that are made from wood pulp through sustainable processes.

More international exhibitors can be found in the full product areas: Accessories Vision, All About Sustainability, Beyond Denim, Functional Lab, Premium Wool Zone and Verve for Design. Meanwhile, national exhibitors will be classified by end use of the product in halls 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 7.1, 7.2 and 8.1.

Digital solutions support participation abroad

The hybrid exhibit area will display the products of participating exhibitors on-site for visitors to view in person. The novelty of this edition is a personalized QR code displayed on each stand and linked to an interactive sourcing platform. Via the sourcing platform, visitors can submit real-time inquiries to exhibitors, further improving sourcing options while making it easier to facilitate business for companies that cannot attend in person.

Having proven beneficial in recent editions, Connect PLUS, the show’s online business matchmaking platform, will bring overseas buyers to Intertextile. Users can message potential business partners and host online meetings, with the platform available for four weeks after the show closes.

The new Intertextile Hub also connects foreign participants to the action on site. A series of exhibitor interviews and parallel program sessions will be broadcast live, including forums, seminars and product presentations. A marginal value-added program shares market information

The three-day marginal program of the show will be categorized into four key themes shaping the future of the apparel textile industry: design and trends, technology and solutions, sustainability issues and market intelligence and business strategies. A total of 30 seminars and seven thematic forums will offer exclusive information on industry advances. On-site festival-goers can also visit international and national trend forums to learn about the latest trends for the coming season.

Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition will take place alongside Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition, Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC and PH Value, from October 9 to 11, 2021 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
