CM lays the foundations of the World Trade Center in Ranchi


Chief Minister Hemant Soren, during the laying of the foundation stone of the World Trade Center in the central area of ​​the capital city of Ranchi, said on Friday that Jharkhand is a state with vast potential and the government is making constant efforts to connect industrial and commercial activities here with the country. and the world. He said all activities related to international trade, especially export promotion, will be carried out under one roof at the World Trade Center. This center will play an important role in strengthening economic activities here.

The CM said that Jharkhand is a mineral-rich state and many industrial activities have been taking place there for decades. Industries and enterprises of many industrial enterprise groups including Tata, Birla and Dalmia are established here. The builder of the country’s industries and globally known as the “mother of industries” HEC is in Ranchi. Steps have been taken in the state to provide all trade-export related facilities to these industries through the World Trade Center. Now these steps will not stop but will continuously advance.

The CM indicated that strengthening the rural economy is one of the government’s particular priorities. People are involved in various rural activities here. Many programs have been launched to move them forward. In this regard, products produced by women’s self-help groups have been marketed through the Palash brand. These products are available in major malls and shopping complexes. The government is working with an objective to increase the turnover of the Palash brand to Rs one thousand crore per annum.

Soren said there is a lot of potential in the field of forest products in Jharkhand. So far, it has been seen that due to the lack of market for local products, people are selling them at very low prices. At the same time, large companies from other states are buying and selling these products in our own state at high prices. The government took this very seriously. Now the producers should benefit directly from the forest and other products here, in this direction the government is developing an action plan.

He added that a large number of young people from rural areas of the state are migrating to other states to find employment. There they are exploited. Many such cases have come down to us. The government is working to connect many kidnapped girls to employment by releasing them. For employment reasons, villagers should not migrate here. They should find a job in their own house, the government is making continuous efforts in this direction.

The CM said agro-processing, loom, handicrafts and tasar to textile industry are continuously developing in the state. For this reason, a large number of young people and women find employment here. In this direction, along with large industries, the government is working to provide assistance to small, medium and small industries. Apart from this, grant-based loans are made available under the Chief Minister’s job creation scheme to promote self-employment.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between JUIDCO and SIDBI during the World Trade Center groundbreaking ceremony. Through this, assistance will be provided through SIDBI to develop industrial infrastructure and establish industries in the state. On this occasion, 515 beneficiaries received capital of around Rs 1.87 crore for seed capital assistance under the PMFMI scheme.

Minister Satyanand Bhokta, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Principal Secretary for Personnel and Industries Vandana Dadel and Chief Minister’s Secretary Vinay Kumar Choubey were particularly present during the cornerstone laying ceremony.
