BUFT appoints Ayub Nabi Khan again as Pro-VC

Professor Dr. Engineer Ayub Nabi Khan has again been appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT).

This is the third consecutive time that his mandate has been extended, read a press release issued on Sunday in this regard.

Professor Khan is a renowned textile engineer turned educator with 34 years of experience in teaching, educational planning and management, education and industry consultancy, project management, research, development of processes, products and technologies.

He received his BS in Textile Engineering from Dhaka University, and MSc and PhD from Manchester University, UK in the same field under the Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships program.

Dr Khan is also a respected reviewer of the Textile Research Journal, Journal of Natural Fiber, Journal of Textile Institute, European Scientific Journal, Research Journal of Textile and Apparel, and Journal of Fashion and Textile.

He is a member of the Bangladesh Textile University Union (BUTEX).

Khan is the youngest son of the late Rashid Ahmed Khan and the late Noorjahan Begum.
